7 Easy Stress Management Essential Oils

Stress hits us all at the most inopportune times and can stick around for days, often weeks if we don’t manage our reaction to stress properly. There are so many ways to handle daily stress and take the edge off without medication and harmful additives. Let's be real, there are ways to manage stress, keep your waistline intact AND not go whole hog on a pint of Ben and Jerry’s.

 

If you’re feeling a bit down or something has you discouraged you should try Sandalwood. Simply apply this essential oil to the neck at bedtime for a restful sleep, or use during meditation to promote soothing thoughts.

 

Elevation is a great essential oil blend to include each morning to start the day with a positive, uplifted mood - just diffuse it each day.

 

Myrrh is also a great one to use aromatically as it helps promote awareness and uplifted moods.

 

When stress has you to a point that you constantly feel fatigued or you just aren’t motivated to get anything done, you should try one of these ideas:

 

  • Create an uplifting citrus combo: One drop Grapefruit, Lemon and Lime: Rub underneath your nose or behind your ears to sharpen focus while reading or concentrating.

  • When you need a quick pick me up during the day, ditch the cup of coffee and grab some Peppermint. Just apply a few drops to the palms of hands, bring them to your face, and inhale deeply for a quick mood boost.

  • Wild Orange helps energize the mind and body and really gets you motivated to crush your goals. Just use two drops each of Wild Orange, Peppermint, and Frankincense in the palm of your hand. Rub your palms together, bring them to your face, and inhale deeply. This is a great way to calm the senses during high stress levels.

  • To promote a positive attitude daily you can use Citrus Bliss®. Place one drop on your wrists and rub them together for an uplifting everyday perfume or use it in the morning in your diffuser.
