Wrist mobility is important to most people and their daily lives. It can be especially important to those who have jobs that employ regular, and often overuse, of the wrist. From jobs that require typing on a laptop to physical and manual labor, as well as sports like rowing and volleyball - wrist stretches can help you make the most of your daily routine. Below are some great stretches you can do for the particular areas in your life.
Stitches and Pearls
If you sew, knit, crochet as a hobby or for a living, this wrist exercise is for you! Grab a stress ball or tennis ball and use your fingers to grip the ball as firmly as possible. Hold for the grip for five seconds; repeat 10 times then switch hands. Afterward, grip the ball in your hand and flex the wrist back and forth 10 times.
Run a Few Drills
Manual labor and assembly line style jobs can really take a toll on your wrists. If you use a drill or machinery that vibrates, or your job requires a repetitive motion, this exercise is great for you. Sit on your knees on your yoga mat. Next, interlock your fingers and rest the back of your hands on top of your head with palms facing upward. Straighten your arms toward the ceiling and release your shoulders as you slowly raise your arms. Exhale, unclasp the hands, and release the arms down by your side; repeat three to five times.

If you spend a lot of time sitting at a desk typing, the hand and knee pose is great for getting active and giving your wrists a good stretch. Grab a yoga mat and get down onto your hands and knees. Make sure your hands are under your shoulders and knees under your hips.Next, flip your hands so the back of your hand are to the mat and fingertips are towards the knees. Turn eye of the elbow forward while straightening the arms, and roll your shoulders back away from your ears and lean hips back towards heels; hold for 6 breaths and repeat twice.
